Bone Tea is an herbal tea blend that support the musculoskeletal system by upping one's intake of iron, calcium, potassium and magnesium, while also acting as an anti-inflammatory to soothe muscles, joints and tendons. This blend is great for people who might want to replenish, rebuild and strengthen their musculoskeletal system in general, for those with aging bones, and/or for anyone working on a a musculoskeletal healing regime after injury.

Suggested use: add boiling water to 1-3 teaspoons of tea, per tea mug. Drink often. Or... for a potent herbal infusion, to get the most out of these healing herbs, add one ounce by weight of tea to a one-quart jar. Fill the jar with boiling water and let stand for at least 4-6 hours... overnight is better. 

  • Comes in a twelve ounce tea tin.
  • Caffeine FREE!
  • Appropriate for people and dogs.

Nettle leaf & root: The leaves contain iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium, vitamin C, and so much more - making this herb great for musculoskeletal health. The greens are used to treat poor circulation, high blood pressure, hay fever, rhinitis due to allergies, as an anti-inflammatory to treat both arthritis, rheumatism, and as support for the urinary tract. Nettle leaf is also useful in treating inflammatory pain including joint pain and muscle aches, and perhaps its most well known use is to reduce symptoms of allergy. The roots nourish the skin and have been known to remedy eczema. 

Oatstraw & milky oat tops: this herb is high in calcium and has been used to help heal osteoporosis, to mend bones, and to improve memory. The term "sowing your oats" refers to this plant's use in improving one's libido. Oats are also great for damaged skin, and overtaxed nerves. 

Alfalfa: is highly nutritive and contains large amounts of vitamin A, vitamin C, riboflavin, and niacin, as well as magnesium and calcium. This herb is anti-inflammatory and as such is used to treat arthritis, rheumatism, and degenerative issues. It is slightly bitter and therefore an effective digestive aid. It is cool, moist and also really good for the heart. With regular consumption, alfalfa is sometimes uses as an alternative to pain medications - another result of its high magnesium and calcium content. 

Horsetail: strengthens and repairs fragile hair, nails, broken bones and cartilage. It is high in silica content and as such is often used to treat osteoporosis. Horsetail is an ancient herb, used extensively by early Greeks and Romans to stop bleeding, heal ulcers and wounds, and as a diuretic to treat kidney disorders. 

Red & purple clover blossom: clinical studies have shown that this bloom helps reduce symptoms of menopause, as well as support cardiovascular health. It is also used to sooth the nerves. 

Rosemary: the leaves increase circulation, improve memory, and have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Rosemary aids digestion by improving nutrient absorption. Additionally this plant is anti-inflammatory, stress reducing and an all around invigorating herb, imparting a zest for life. 

Red rooibos: is high in antioxidants, trace minerals and an abundance of nutrients, making it a beneficial part of the daily diet. This plant is well known for bone healing and support, heart health, and skin health. It is beneficial to those with diabetes and can help prevent the onset of type II diabetes. It is anti-allergy as well as antispasmodic, the latter helping to ease stomach cramping.  This tea is often recommended to remedy colic or stomach upset in young children. The flavor is delicate and naturally sweet with a warm scent. 

Cinnamon: is nourishing, warming, nausea-relieving, antibacterial, anti-viral anti-fungal, full of fiber and antioxidants, is good for the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, and has been successfully used to treat menstrual cramp pain and other inflammatory discomfort. True cinnamon has also been shown to lower a high blood pressure and blood sugar levels. 

Cardamom: this wonderful, aromatic seed is a strong carminative and is used to relieve gas and colic, to pass gall or kidney stones or other uncomfortable urinary problems, and is full of cancer-fighting phytochemicals and antioxidants. 

Orange peel: the peel is actually more nutrient rich than the fruit, due to the peel's higher concentration of enzymes, flavonoids and phyto-nutrients. The peel also contains large amounts of  vitamin C, vitamin B1, folic acid, and numerous other vitamins and minerals. 

Comfrey leaf: in tea helps to keep bones flexible and strong, as well as strengthen digestion and elimination. Additionally, these leaves are rich in vitamins, minerals (including trace minerals necessary for a healthy immune system), and phytonutruents and protein (Susun Weed).
