Douglas-fir: needles are delicious and nutritious, are anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, anti-anxiety, immune stimulating, and high in iron, antioxidants, flavonoids, and vitamins C, B and A. Douglas-fir is not a true fir, nor is it a pine or spruce, but is most closely related to hemlock.

Grand fir: needles (and some stems for an extra resinous flavor) have four times more vitamin C than an orange, and the oils found in their bark, sap, resin and needles are immune-boosting, promote circulation to cold, stiff bones and muscles, balance hormones, decongest the lungs, and are supportive to the respiratory system in general. The aroma of fir needles bring about confidence and courage while also relieving anxiousness and stress. Fir and other conifers were revered and celebrated during Yule festivities, as they embody the goddess that never dies, or the Tree of Life. During the winter solstice, these trees of life were ornamented with candles to symbolize everlasting light of the stars, moon and sun.

Chaga: this fungus is a powerful immuno-stimulant that naturally grows on birch trees. It is immune-boosting, anti-cancer and supports the body in fighting off both viral and bacterial infection.

Orange (peel & fruit): the peel is actually more nutrient rich than the fruit, due to the peel's higher concentration of enzymes, flavonoids and phyto-nutrients. The peel also contains large amounts of  vitamin C, vitamin B1, folic acid, and numerous other vitamins and minerals. Organic orange fruit adds to the citrusy, sweet goodness!

Cinnamon: this bark is nourishing, warming, nausea-relieving, antibacterial,  and has been successfully used to treat menstrual cramp pains. Cinnamon has also been utilized to lower a high blood pressure.

Cardamom: this wonderful, aromatic seed is a strong carminative and is used to relieve gas and colic. Generally it is warming and helps to promote circulation.

Nutmeg: eases rheumatism, arthritis, and neuralgia, supports the nervous system to overcome fatigue, soothes the stomach, relieves gas, increases circulation benefiting the joints and muscles, reduces insomnia, and is anti-bacterial. Nutmeg fruits were also stuffed into Egyptian mummies, and sometimes carried around as good luck charms.

Clove: these dried flower buds were used in the Middle Ages to combat plague and to cure impotence. Today they are used to relieve pain, increase warmth and circulation, and reduce inflammation. The oil is a strong anesthetic and antiseptic and is presently used to numb gums for dentistry procedures.

Raw local honey: is medicine in of itself and is considered the oldest known food to mankind, being regularly gathered even before the first cultivations of land. Honey is synonymous with happiness and fulfillment, and is added to food and drink to emphasize a good mood. It is often used to treat indigestion, headache, to sooth sore throats, boost the immune system, inhibit violent coughing, and suppressing the onset of cold and flu. This nectar is sacred to many gods, especially earth goddess Demeter and the Egyptian sun god Ra.

*Cedar leaf: is a very strong antimicrobial and stimulant of the immune system, thus allowing us to better fight off bacteria, viruses, molds, fungal infections, and cancers. Contraindication: cedar is considered a very strong medicine, containing high levels of volatile oils that are best not taken internally in large doses. Cedar can also stimulate contractions of the uterus so it is not recommended for anyone who is pregnant or could be pregnant. This blend does not contain enough cedar to be a serious health risk, however one should always consult a doctor before ingesting any food/herb that is of any question.
